Description
Corporate Merchandise Training Program

Our training program offers long-term opportunities in Merchandise Planning & Allocation, Merchandise Buying, and Executive Management. The program is based out of our Corporate Office where most of our associates experience tremendous career growth, and many are taking advantage of TJX’s growing domestic and global opportunities to work in our NYC or Los Angeles buying offices, as well as our UK or Germany offices. TJX’s Corporate Merchandise Training Program (CMTP) teaches you how to run the business from behind the scenes and is the perfect fit for someone who wants to be a key business driver, make impactful decisions and see the results of everything you do.

From day one, you have a career path mapped out for you, starting in Merchandise Planning & Allocation. The program starts with 12 weeks of training to prepare you to be an Allocation Analyst. You will learn how to dig into the numbers while analyzing reports and inventory levels, identify trends, and make decisions on where merchandise should be allocated. You will strengthen your entrepreneurial, strategic, and problem solving skills while thinking creatively to drive your assigned business.

As your career continues, you will pursue a career in either Planning & Allocation or Buying. Buyers are empowered, through their intelligent risk-taking and entrepreneurism, to make the ultimate decision on merchandise for our stores. They analyze their business, travel regularly to domestic and international markets building relationships, source merchandise and negotiate the best deal to drive sales. Buyers are truly driving their business. As you further develop your skills, you will have a tremendous opportunity for growth into Executive Management.

TJX Executives provide leadership for a team of Buyers and develop strategic business and financial plans managing over $600 million annually. Executives maintain a market presence, balance inventory levels, and execute sales and profit objectives. They play a critical role in impacting the business every day. Our present and past CEO’s were all Buyers, so whether you are interested in Planning & Allocation, Buying, or Executive Management, TJX’s CMTP will give you what you need to be successful. Our associates are passionate about the business and their careers, so if you have the drive to succeed we want to hear from you.

There is a complete outline of the career path, FAQ’s, and video's, online at www.tjx.com/CMTP. We strongly recommend reviewing the CMTP information on our website before applying.
